Looking for a little advice. I have a 73 f250 with a 390. The exhaust it has now is no good, it was an old farm truck so its been welded together like 10 times and has like 20 leaks lol. I'm putting seperate dual exhaust and was wondering if any of you think this is a good or bad glasspack because I am planning on getting 2 of these: Dynomax 24069 Thrush Glasspack Mufflers - Free Shipping on All Orders @ JEGS
I want it to be loud and not just loud, but sound nice. Thank you
My cousin has a 75 f250 and what he has is long tube headers, no cats, true dual exhaust with I believe the flowmaster super 40s, but he has a bigger engine I forgot which one it was. It has Holley carbs also and it sounds beautiful and loud especially in California since cats are supposed to be on your car for emissions.
I would suggest kind of doing the same with your truck but instead of super 40s put cherry bomb glasspacks or a flowmaster super 10
Glasspacks are a tried and true winner with FEs.
I personally love the sound and they flow.
Headers really wake these engines up also in case you have a few shekels.
I want to buy one of those f250s. Those trucks are just badass. I find so many on CL but I'm still a high school student with a part time job that spends money on the bronco so ill probably be getting one in maybe 5-6 years.
