Here was one of my weekend projects. I decided to paint up my door panels as start to my resto/clean up project of my truck here are some pics. I need to do some touch up but this is how they will look when they are done.
I used an adhesion promoter first and then put on 4 coats of paint. The combination of adhesion promoter and the Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric paint makes the arm rest and pouches very flexible still. I am very impressed. I do have to say though that I was hoping it would stick a little bit better to the panel but it seems to be alright.
I thought about it, but the directions on the DupliColor Vinyl and Fabric paint didn't mention. If they made a clear for this application I would no doubt use it but like I said, thres no mention of it on the website or on the can.
Looks great; Love the two tone look. I recently add cloth to my upper inert portion with chrome trim. Had stock panel and drill holes with a Lariet pattern example!
I'm not smart enough to place a photo on this thread; but there is a photo of mine in my gallery; I also cover my headliner & dash pad with same material!
Yours look great!
