key fob ?
Hi gang. I am returning to the Superduty forum after being gone since 2007. I have been in the 07 F150 and 73-79 forums. I just purchased an 02 F250 XLT, V10, 4x2, 68,000 miles. My truck didn't come with any fobs, just one key. How do I know if I have that ability on my truck? I have the owners manual which I think will tell me how to program a new fob if I get one. Thanks.

its super easy. close the doors.. turn the key very fast 8 times from acc to the one after it.. the doors will unlock and lock, then just push a button on the fob and then turn the truck off..thats it

You might see if you can get a copy of your original window sticker for your truck to see if it shows up (remote keyless entry) there. Here is a thread with instructions on how to access your sticker based on your VIN:

Ok, got the list. It says: LESS security lock group, LESS door entry remote control unit.
I am guessing that it does not have the remote locks if I read the report right. Make sense?

Agreed -- I say that means a FOB will do you no good.
