And that 4500 is a stock re-maned trans from AME. I feel like I have seen someone on a thread pay that for a beefed up one.

I'm just having it towed to the house now to let it sit till I decide where to take it. The mechanic said he had a real hard time getting it in the shop and didn't think it would make it home.

IIRC you can get a Reman from Ford for around 3500 and install yourself

Is IIRC a business? I'm not sure I have done alot to cars but I don't have a lift or anything.

IIRC = if I recall correctly.

There are 5R110's listed on Autonation Ford for <$2600. They come with cooler, convertor, and 3 yr. unlimited mileage warranty. Might depend on your VIN though.

Man so now it seems 4500 for them to install it was somewhat reasonable and seems to be close to the minimum I'm gonna have to spend. I'm just wondering if I should look into a upgraded one cause it does get worked pretty hard.

The only code that they have on the paper work is p0731.

Ok I will have a look at that. That was actually the name of the dealer I had it at. Is that who your referring to or a different place? When I look that up I get all dealerships.
