Today, on my way home from work, I jumped on the gas pedal and...... nothing.... This truck won't get out of its on way. Did notice that the little blue boot coming off the turbo has a small tear in it. Could this be the culprit. All numbers on the sg seem normal. Any help or ideas appreciated.
Ordered my new boots from riffraff last night. I know it sounds hokey, but is it possible for me to wrap some tape around this thing to keep me going for a few days......Also would this tear in the boot give me higher than normal boost readings that I'm seeing.

What about my boost readings. I would think my sg would show no or little boost numbers. Instead she is showing higher than normal boost numbers...... Anybody?
Stuck turbo is the only thing to give higher than normal boost readings. Map ..............if reading low, can make turbo produce more boost because truck "thinks" boost is low based on map reading. Check the metal nipple sticking out the intake with the hose from the map. Check the hose also for leaks.
Just found a small grey wire with a small black rubber connector laying underneath my cac tube on passenger side. Can't find where or what it came off of. It almost looks like a small spark plug wire. The connecter end is just laying right next to the turbo. Sorry no pics. Any idea where this thing goes.
You have to excuse me, but I don't know what that means.
Means "what boost do you see at wide open throttle with the converter locked in high gear". Like 70mph and higher.
And are you measuring boost electrically or mechanically?
