I have been following the Torque threads on here. I want to thank you all for the wealth of knowledge inside this forum.
I've been trying to get Torque set up for a couple of days now and have not been able to get a BARO reading. It was not in the pack of Extra PID's I added from within the app. I found somewhere the following settings:
I tried the above, but it does not work. I get no response when Torque requests this PID. Is something wrong with the info above?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. I am using a Kindle Fire running CyanogenMod and a cheapo ELM327 that works great for all my other readings (i.e ICP, IRP, MAP, EBP, FIPW, RPM, VBatt).
I haven't tested this yet, but you shouldn't need a PID number or any equation. You should be able to just add a gauge and select Barometric Pressure from the vehicle. You would want the minimum to be no less than 10 PSI (unless you drive on Everest) and the maximum no more than 15 PSI (maybe Death Valley can reach this pressure).
Any time you try a new gauge, do it with the Key On and Engine Off... just in case things go all SES on you.
Tugly. Thanks for the good advice. I did see the barometer from vehicle option, but it also shows no data when I select it. I wonder why I cannot read baro when I can read all the other PID's. I remember seeing baro last time I hooked up my AE software at it showed 14.6. I live a little above sea level.

A little... like just above the Tsunami line.
I'll look deeper into this, because I know BARO is there... I use it in my MAP and EBP formulas and it works.
I'm still working out a master plan to export a profile, complete with gauge settings and a custom theme. I asked around on the Torque forum and the response was something akin to "Let me know when you work that out, because I sure want a copy of it." I feel like echoing the NPR announcer - "Thanks for your support".
I live at 200 feet above sea level in the northern end of the valley in Cali. It would have to be a very big tsunami to make it to my house.
I'm stumped as why I can't see baro in torque but can in AE. I'm going to double check with AE today since it has been a while since I have plugged AE in.
I've been trying to chase down why my acceleration goes flat at higher rpms. I like how easy it is to get a log going in torque compared to AE. I have done a few hard acceleration runs, not really WOT since it has been very wet out. I can see my FIPW go above 3 , IPR gets up to 80 and ICP tanks on my 80E DP tuner, so I know I have a HPO issue.
My valley is finally dry after doing my pedestal orings, so I don't have any external Oil leaks. HPOP was resealed a couple of years ago. I did gain a lot of power back by doing the RR 6/6 wheel and bellowed uppies, but it is still lacking at high rpm.
I suspect I have bad injector orings, tired injectors or a tired HPOP. HPOP and injectors are original. My fuel filter is not black.
I hooked up my AE and it only shows baro in volts. Mine is reading 4.6v for both KOER and KOEO. Does anyone have the conversion formula to psi? I find it strange that AE can pull baro data but torque cannot. I'm going to see if my neighbor will let me try it on his truck. Will post my findings.
KOEO EBP reads 14.68 and MAP reads 14.2.
KOER EBP reads 15.01 and MAP reads 14.1 at idle.
I hate to dig up a 4 year old thread but did you ever figure out how to get the baro reading on Torque? I have an early 99 that has the baro sensor under the steering wheel and my torque gauge is not getting a reading. I assume it's working because the MAP reading is about 14psi above boost.
