Hello,
Last night I was looking at the Torque Pro app. I'm using the Baro PID from the app. My Baro reading was 12. Looking online it was showing the the Baro was 24.2. I'm trying to figure out if I have an issue with the sensor on the truck, or it's an app. thing. Does anyone have a "custom" equation for Baro?
MPD56,
When you say ( Try using PID e14968 or 221127 which is for the 6.7L. I don't have my stuff with me and going by memory. Let me know the results.) are you saying there is a way to select a different PID reading? I only show one. I'm using the Baro from the installed list. According to the Weather Channel for my area the atmospheric pressure is currently 30.0 InHg. When I convert the InHg to PSI it should be 14.73. My Baro reading when connected to the truck at KOEO is 12.0. It appears that I'm 2.73 PSI off.
I'm not sure what installed list your picking from? I'll try the two PIDS that I have on my list for the 6.7L tomorrow. I believe that TP gets pressure from the PCM and the Android Device and should show the same results. Try looking at the "Torque Scan" list and see if it shows 4 Baro PIDS
FYI:
Barometic Pressure (From PCM) - 6.7L,Done Testing
PID,221127
Long Name (Used in Menu),Barometric Pressure (PCM) - 6.7L
The PID I'm picking from is the only one on the list when I select, add new gauge. I believe it was from TP. After reading your last post I'm thinking I should find the new list of plugins that you and others have worked so hard at making and load them?
I will try adding the last PID's you sent using a custom garage and see if that gets me a closer reading.
Did you add the Torque Scan plugin and see if you have other available choices? Out of the 4 PIDs I get a response from 3. the units are Mbar, kPa and PSI. The PID from the 6.7L PCM seems to not be working so I will have to see why it isn't, it did.
I'm not sure if it was the Torque scan or not. It was about 11 months ago when I add the PIDs. Best I remember, I selected the Ford 6.7set up from TP and then also used the drop box add in you guys were working with or maybe it was a Google Drive? Unfortunately, I had started on this project then ran into time issues and hadn't made it back to it util I ran into an issue with the truck.
Sorry if I'm not explaining it clearly, don't have my info with me right now.
On the Main home screen of Torque Pro there should be an Icon of a magnify glass that would be the Torque Scan Plugin. If you don't have that Icon on your screen then download it and install, it is free.
