A mess under battery tray?

Anyone had this issue?
99 Eddie Bauer explorer.
Bought this thing used. Pulled codes and found I needed a purge valve.
Removed battery tray and everything rated by battery acid it seems.
Valve corroded and spring hanging out, horn is not working, wires for abs corroded.
It's a mess. Like battery acid went everywhere.

Replacing as I go here.

get a can of soda (COKE) and brush it on with a paint brush, or pour from the can, or put in a small pump spray bottle... It will mix and dilute the acid... then wash off with water.

scrap off any heavy stuff first with a stick or screw driver... wash the screw driver afterwards.
