Where can I get a column for my 88 F350? I have trolled Craigslist and ebay for 2 months, called and searched countless junkyards, searched Google, parts geek, rockauto, and LMC with no results. I would really appreciate any help in locating one. Are there any websites that sell entire columns?
As for Craigslist, don't search for the column itself, look for people parting out trucks. I know you can get one from a F150, F250, F350 or Bronco from 87-91. I believe, might be wrong, that 80-86 are the same column as well. Just make sure you get one for an auto.

What's wrong with the original column? Most of the parts are available to repair it.
You need to know exactly which column you have and the years it fits...before looking for a replacement.
A/T different than M/T, with tilt steering wheel different than without.
1978/91 F100/350, Bronco & Econoline tilt wheel operated by pressing the T/S handle forward.

The column has several broken pieces in it, a spring and a few other parts fell out the bottom of it a few days ago, the lock tumbler is missing its key, and the plastic on the column is gone. It's beyond repair.

A/T with tilt

My 350 has the tilt column and the T/S is pushed back to tilt. I was also told I can't use one from a truck with an overdrive transmission because mine is non-OD and this would cause the shift linkage not line up or connect. Is this correct?
Minor thread hijack here. Can you upgrade a non tilt truck to tilt with a new column? I would think the function is specific to the upper part of the column, but maybe it's more complex than that.
I have one out of a 95 f350. If it will work let me know, I will sell it cheap enough
completely different animal and will not work in the 88
In addition, the '95 has a multi-function lever (windshield wipers/washer and dip switch, in addition to the turn signals), whereas the '88 just had a turn signal lever. Never mind that the '95 is an airbag truck...
I count 13 usable ones between $100-$125 including one in OK (and then a bunch of junk and the obligitory massively overpriced parts). i think OP is in TX. so that's not too far. Id still try and find a local truck sitting in a field somewhere myself though first.
