Multifunction switch retrofitted to 8th gen
I don't imagine this has been done before? The wiring is probably a nightmare, with a 9th gen column or anything else.
I have a 98 Explorer column I'm thinking about trying to make work on a 90 F250. Custom dash anyway so the physical fitment is not a problem. I'm just wondering if I have any prayer of matching up wiring.

I'll give it a try at least. Never cared for the dash mounted wiper/light knows and floor dimmer.
As far as my dash, it's still in the on paper stage but is going to be similar to an early Bronco dash but with a vinyl wrapped crash pad. Simple and no frills.

My 89 F250's dash is cracking along the mounting screws on the top. Brittle plastic crap.....
I am looking at using a 98 F150 dash(munghole stiffed me with no title,parts truck now), engine/tranny and wiring to put in the 89 or the 92 F150 parts truck. Not sure if even that will fit as the 98 is a "cab forward" design. So the AC/heat box are inside the 98 cab.
I have notice the 98 and the 92's steering columns look almost the same(with that slopy shifter bushings) so that may be the swap into a 92 and up truck....
