New multi-function switch in a 89?
I'm a bit tired of stomping the floor to switch high beams and reaching for the wiper switch on the dash.
Has anyone installed a multi-function steering column assy onto a 89's column to give us the one-stalk-does all features?

i am sure it could be done if you are good at fabricating. doing some cutting and adaptation to get a stalk like that to fit the column. then there is the electrical side of it most likely you would have to use some relays to do some of the switching i think that is how most of those stalks work because the switches are fairly light duty. would be a challenge but could be fun if you like to customize. i would say time to go to the you pull it yard and do some research for a donor vehicle.

Yah. the wiring doesn't give me much heartburn. Mechanical is my biggest concern as the steering column must be able of cancelling the turn signals.
Do the E-150's have multifunction switches? if so, what year (and model) were they first installed?

'92 was the first year the E-150's had multi-function switches. I think the dash stayed mostly the same through '95 or '96, and then in '96 or '97 they got a new dash with a different multi-function switch.
