Engine Swap

I have a 1995 Ford F150 4X4. My question is, can I swap my 302 with a 351W? I know back a few years, you could swap just about everything between the two. I'm just not for sure, once they went to EFI. I'm not sure that all the wiring would be the same. I've seen both in 2 different trucks. To look at them side by side, they look the same. I've looked up a 5.8L for my truck, and they list one with the AIR in head, and another with the AIR in manifold. If I can very easily swap the engines, would it matter which one I bought to put in my truck? I know that my 5.0L has the AIR in the heads. My whole intention, is to have more power to pull my camper. A friend had a 95 with a 302. His camper weighed more than mine. His truck was a short bed, mine is the long wheel base. He said it could have stood to have a little more power, but it handled it alright.

Yes the 351 is a direct bolt in for the 302.

I wouldn't say direct bolt in. If your truck is a MAF truck, a 94+ 351W would be the easiest. You will still need the entire engine, upper and lower intake, distributor and a new exhaust system behind it. I believe you will also need the 351w flexplate or flywheel depending on application. The 5.0 EEC will compensate for the 5.8 as long as the truck is MAF.

Okay Evan_P thank you for your input. So, this is what I found. First of all, my truck is mass air. It also has the air pump system. I assume it doesn't have a PCV circuit because of this. Because, I can't find a PCV valve. What I found, at my local gold yard, is a 1996 351W, recently rebuilt (or bought reman) with only 5000 miles on it. And get this..... $650. At that price, I definitely hope it will work. So, here it is. It has a PVC valve, and no air pump. Does that mean that it is not mass air? If not, with this info, can I still use this engine? And what all would it intell? There is a place on the back of each cylinder head, where you would attach the air pipe, from an air system. I don't know why that type of head is on that engine, but, it's there. That's all I can say. Maybe I can put my air system on that engine, and make it mass air???
