Well, after not owning my EX even a year, I am tired of working on it all the time. I am selling it tomorrow. New F250 crew 4x4 king ranch or Platinum with the 6.2 gas will be my next truck. I want to thank all that have helped me with my EX.
7.3. I replaced, the transmission, front leaf springs, steering box, shocks, u joints, rebuilt the rear end with a new diff and ring and pinion, alternator, passenger side fuel line from the fuel bowl, rear expansion valve, towing mirror switch, and the rear hatch actuator. Every time I fix something else breaks. Glad to be done with it.

I agree with David...you have a virtually new truck, might as well keep it now!
And Man are you going to regret going to a 6.2 in a superduty. That thing needs a super charger to wake it up, very lethargic. I would keep the 7.3 and get a new 6.7 instead.

Well, I have not drove one yet, but I will do what needs to be done. I for sure will never buy another diesel again. All these new regulations on the new diesels have made them too complex and too many failure points. I would also consider a newer superduty with a v10. Also, I will look at a 2500HD GMC with a 6.0 gas.
I'm new here and don't want to make waves, but I've owned 2 cummins over the last 13 years an 89' 4x4 first year cummins w/hot air turbo and since 04' an 04' crew cab 4x4. I have never done even minor surgery to them. I bought an Excursion 7.3 4x4 Dec. 20 and by the 28th she's down in the drive way. I have the parts on the way and am hoping for the best but my first Ford is off to a bad start.

Sold it for $16,000. Glad it is gone. Ready for a new truck with no issues. Thanks again guys for your help with this truck. It was a lot of work.

I am not sure what experience you have with the 6.2 but every user on here with that motor is quite happy with it in fact if I remember correctly the user 2000silverbullets truck was the fastest to the top of the hill at last years GTG and that was with something like 14,000 pounds in tow. I will try to find the footage because I think one of the trucks he beat was a 6.7...
I have to admit. Since buying my 2005 Excursion Eddy Bauer this summer I have been nickle and dimed to death. In fact, nickle and dime don't begin to describe the money I have sunk into this vehicle. However, it is the size I want and need and the repair costs far outway the new payments for a Super Duty that can't fit my clan and friends.
