ya'll can be as happy as ya'll like about your diesel. you own em so you gotta like em or hate for your reasons regardless of how shallow they are.
facts are facts, if you look at reliability, engine, injector, turbo etc design...for the purpose diesels are used...the 7.3 is far simpler and superior.
The 6.0 was hurried due to CAFE emission standards and the QA was done after GA...in the dealers.
Count the number of head bolts on a 6.0, then check the torque spec.
Then do this for the 7.3....exactly!
Then inspect the injectors on the 6.0 and compare to the 7.3. No shiola!
Watch em have to lift the cab off a F250 to get to the 6.0...
I really dont care one way or the other cause diesel is not for me based on my driving requirements. Im just saying I did the research in detail...much detail without any preconceived bias because I own one and therefore mine is the best blah blah blah.

Enjoy your diesels.
But...
There is no reason to lift the cab on a 6.0. Perhaps you should educate yourself before posting again.
EDIT I should have quoted MY2000Expy. My post was in response to his.
OMG this never ends.
I could say something like "well I sure am glad my 6.0 doesn't have spark plugs denting the hood when they shoot out". Yes I'm referring to the v10 and not a 7.3. My point is we could do this all day long. gasser v diesel, 6 v 7.3, blah blah is right.
My 6.0 has been a good engine (176,000 miles on it). Personally I think the biggest problem with the 6.0 is people (previous owners mostly) not following maintenance schedules and requirements correctly. The 6.0 had a pretty low mileage requirement for the oil change (which is a bummer but so be it) and it likes good oil. Its impossible to say but I wonder how many injector failures were due to poor maintenance... I'll be a lot of diesel owners (no-one on this forum of course) have any idea what part engine oil plays in the injector function and longevity. They probably think they can eek out another 5k miles and ignore the maintenance schedule for the 6.0. There's oil on the dipstick right? So what the heck, I'll change the oil in 6 months. Then they wonder why, after years of doing, the car starts hesitating, running rough, maybe not starting at all.
I don't get the torque spec and number of head bolts reference between the 7.3 and the 6. Maybe someone can school me on that. But I would venture to say that many head bolt failures on a 6.0 were due to people messing with the big shiny hair dryer under the hood.
For example, I saw so many Subaru engines blow up due to people messing with boost and ignoring that nasty sound of coins in a can. Subaru engines got a bad rap for engine failures. Go figure. (I am very familiar with these cars)
Here is my new truck. 2014 GMC 1500 Denali 4x4 with the 6.2 motor. I love it so far. Paid cash for it. I buy a new truck every year. Maybe next year I can try the new F150.
Nice truck, congrats on the purchase.
Now get outa here so we can argue some more about why ya left.
Agreed, I just had a ton of work done at Ford a couple months back no cab removal needed.
Congrats on your new truck, looks great in white
My Ford dealer did my 6.0 ARP head stud upgrade without lifting the cab - guess they considered lifting the cab on the Ex more trouble than just dealing with the confined space.

My ford tech weighs about 98lbs, I guess if he was a 300 pounder he would have had no choice but remove the cab. My local Ford dealer has a super duty garage and every time I'm in there I do see the 6.4's with cabs off.
