I have a minor project I'm working on that may involve a 460 flywheel and starter, but I don't know if they will fit.
Can anyone tell me the distance from the crank centerline to the starter locating hole on the bellhousing shim plate? The engine I am working with has the crank mounted very high in the block, and the factory flywheel is enormous, but no manual trans option.
I don't know how to post pictures but centerline to top bolt hole on starter is 9.25 inches close as I could tell and from opposite side shoulder where flywheel centers on the crank, or flexplate was 10.375" to top starter bolt hole this was on a standard trans setup though I can take one of my c6 shims over and measure it with that if need be.. Hope it helps..
