glow plugs

where is the glow plug controller/relay? this truck used to start fine at 20 deg now it has to be plugged in all night. any help would be great thanks all

Glow plug control module is on the passenger side valve cover. Also check FICM output

Likely FICM voltage. The glow plug circuit is pretty good at throwing codes if there is an issue.

ficm has 47.5V there are no GP codes thrown. maybe its just to cold but something doesn't seem right about that

You can have the correct FICM voltage and still have a failing FICM. If you have GP issues the truck will throw a code but not necessarily a CEL

I'm having the exact same issues, no gp codes. FICm showes 48v. Truck won't start if I don't plug in, and when it does it barely goes until fully warmed up.
