I see from your profile you are in Cali. If you have a Cali truck it has a GPCM (Glow Plug Control Module) instead of a GPR (Glow Plug Relay).
Since the codes are for both left and right bank the GPCM has most likely gone bad.
Look under the hood to see if that is what you have.

Sorry for reviving an old thread but i have these codes and can't seem to clear them. I live in CA and have a 99 F250. I have a GPR with bus bar and NOT a GPCM. I changed the GPR, all new glow plugs, and even the wiring harness on the right bank (soldered). I still get both codes. Truck runs great and starts right up. What else can i try? My emissions test is coming up soon and it looks like i may be failing unless i can fix it!
also, my WTS light doesn't come on anymore and it's also throwing code P0381.

Its best to start a new thread with what you have going on so that this one does not get cluttered up. Also, put your location in case someone is near to you that may be able to help hands on
