does scangauge alert you automatically if there is an issue? For example, it would be nice if you could program it to beep if oil pressure got below a certain psi. I know the truck has stock gauges for this, but I have heard that by the time the stock light comes on, it is too late to prevent damage.
Does scangauge do this? Is there a product that does this?

Which is better at diagnosing problems, Dashboss or Scangauge? I assume Dashboss allows you to easily record stats to your iphone (duh) and computer. Does Scangauge allow you to send stats to your iphone or computer?
Basically, with the scangauge would I go to the truck and write down what it states? What about historical data?
For fmp. Rxf. I have. 0462450906D0 . That's 12 digits what do you have
Anyway Glad your on the right track now!!
For the codes i found online it didnt have any zeros infront of them...now is there anywhere online where it tells you what the correct (average) readings should be?

While both devices will display the values of almost any sensor on your truck, the DashBoss does a better job of retrieving codes. It also provides connectivity for e-mailing reports, displays more gauges, and is expandable with add-on sensors for pressures and EGT, and is easier to set up. If you have an iOS device already it's the winner in my opinion.
What the Scangauge brings to the table is simplicity. Once set up it just hangs out in the truck and comes on when you crank. No need to get out your phone and fire up an app and verify it connected etc. Many people here speak Scangauge also. Again, ScanGauge a cool little device that can serve you well but for power and convenience the DashBoss is better.
