Either return or send it in for an upgrade. Cost is $25. I would want the later version just on basic principal - I can't tell you any specific differences. If you do the update it would surely be the latest version.
Ok well i just looked...its version 4.06 ...now what? Return?
Ooooooooooooooops!, Stooooooooop, Hold the Phone, Don't do Nuttin Yet!!!! OMG.
your not going to believe this. My user Manuel said it is a Version 6.0, I had an uneasy felling about it so when I pulled into the casino parking lot and shut down I brought up the version screen on my SG2 and to my horror it said I have the Version 4.06. So we "DO" have the same unit. Lot of help I am!!!! Is there such a thing as starting over from Square Zero a. Soooo Sorry. I'll go back thru my posts and change the Version so there's no confusion in the future
Lets go back to pulling up the factory FWT gauge.
This is you coolant gauge. KOEO should read close to ambient temperature and slowly rise as truck warms up. If that's working , we can try to enter some X Gauges.
from the home screen press the button next to gauges, this will show the currently selected gauges. if FWT is not on the screen push any of the 4 gauge buttons until FWT comes on screen

ok that reads 170* when it was warmed up (is that decent?)....... now what about incorrect readings? back to first issue...not getting anywhere and frustrated

Use upper button to cycle to an unused slot. Push lower left button to edit the slot. To add a gage, a nonspace entry must be made in the first space (put a plus sign here) enter theTXD numbers check them and push OK.enter rxf, rxd, mth then add a name and press OK. NEXT STEP IS TO Save the gauge. See if you can get one on don't forget to put a plus sign in the first space of each entry
Edit: to be more clear if the mth number is 2345678901 it would look like this on your screen,
+2345678901

Ok so before every code, i need to havea A plus sign, i did not do that so i will def try tomorro afternoon, thank you!!!
Your very welcome, I edited my last post to show an example. And yes a+ before every string of numbers and the name too. The SG2 should have had that plus sign already in the first space from the factory, but it is possible to erase it or write over it. It doesn't have to be the plus sign, it can be any sign you want (I think)) the idea is you have to start your number input in the 2nd position and you can't leave position #1 blank.
clear as mud, right!!!!
I'm not sure I'm clear on this, below is what an entry should look like
TXD. = +123456789
RXF. = +123456789
RXD. = +1234
MTH. = +123456789
Name = +FMP
OK, now even I understand it
That is incorrect...your + sign is the up and - is down for selecting numbers/letters, RXF and MTH entrants need to be 12 digits, i had to put two zeros before entering the code. (Called the customer service) all good now and reading correct - i tested it on the FMP code since i just repaired my ficm
