That plug is also sealed with Loctite 680 retaining compound. Hopefully you added that when you did your repair.

Is this Oring available at AutoZone or NAPA?
Can't wait for mail in, especially this time of year.

Maybe a well stocked hydraulics shop. A standard black o-ring will not hold up long term.

Man, those pics where you mention a "brass nut" sure does look like the "tin nut" on the IPR. What say you or others?

In the pic you can see the original o-ring trying to escape from the edge of the plug. The tin nut for the IPR is lower.

As soon as I saw that purple O-ring popped out on the HPOP, I thought "That's not a fuel leak". You can see that "nut" next to the IPR in both of these photos:

Fixed.
Didn't need to drain reservoir...for obvious reasons. Lost about 3 quarts.
Toughest part was starting that nut by hand. Dropped nut in valley twice before getting it threaded.
Thanks again guys.

And to think... A lot of shops out there would of said you needed a new HPOP and charged you an arm an a leg. Now for the cost of a simple o-ring and a little time...

This site has saved me a fortune on my truck and helped me teach a few people about theirs.
