IPR nut

I finally tracked down my no start issue to the nut on the back of the IPR being loose. My question is can we replace that crappy stamped nut with a real nut that would be less prone to vibrating loose? If so does anyone know what thread that is?

If you stiil have the old one , try flattening it out a little....

1/2 20 Is a loose fit,, I think there counting on a little give or spring in the nut.....

if 1/2-20 is loose could it be M12 since 1/2=12.7mm

My M12 wouldn't start on it.....
