I'm going to run it, head is going on in the morning. I was a little concerned at first but this engine was running great before my little gp issue lol.. I bought another donor truck with a 6.9 and a banks turbo I'll be building that one on the stand studs etc... I'm just going to back off on the timing and try to keep the heat down in the cylinders
Well got her put back together today, runs really good. I tell you what if I ever have to pull a cylinder head again the engine is coming out! These are no fun lol anyway here is a link
Thanks! Now since I have correct GP's installed my relay is crap lol.. I have a push button for the plugs and no voltage on the orange wires when relay is activated , since I had the head off I removed the old gp controller and used a plug... my question is will these cheap relays work for awhile?
Did you check for power and connection condition on the hot side of the relay?
Yep, that O'-Reillys relay will be fine.
And yes, it doesn't matter the controller wires aren't plugged into anything, with the manual switch you become the controller. I do like to tape up loose wires and plugs though, just to protect them.

I did, got good juice lol and I Ohm tested my cables and found them to be good. I'll pick one up tonight and give it a try. Took your advice and taped up the old controller wires, thanks
Love seeing these old bull nose IDI's running down the road. I would've driven it without the CDR, but I don't live California. Mine's had an RDT for 3,000 miles and I have no regrets.

I'm going to do a rdt, I'd like to keep my manifold clean now lol
