My 2002 Powerstroke failed my inspection, the Fuel cap would not hold pressure.......My buddy ordered me a replacement Motorcraft cap with the tether......here is the problem how do you get the hard plastic cap with the tether through the whole in the metal this holds the cap from falling the rubber grommet part i understand
Yep from Utah.....They use to load test the diesels her but two years ago they quit that and just prob the exhaust LOL
Why bother huh well i am very forgetful and would probably drive off with out the damn thing more than once. It came stock with the lanyard, so i just thought i would keep it that way.
As for stealing fuel is there not a restrictor in the fill pipe to prevent that???? I know the gasers are that way.
There's no guard restrictor that I'm aware of. I too like having the lanyard. One of my employees recently drove off with the cap sitting atop the toolbox.. The new one got a lanyard.
