Have you ever

Has anyone had a problem with having the fuel bowl cap leaks from over pressure. Over the weekend I had a fuel leak on the fuel bowl cap the threads, the threads on the cap stripped so the cap jumped threads under pressure and blew fuel all over.

Not me, but it has happened to others. Some aftermarket caps don't always fit properly. I still have the original stock fuel bowl cap.

New OEM cap available at Dieselorings.

I had thought it just might be a fuel cap issue. I'm thinking of having a custom cap machined out of aluminum. For now I'll just replace it with another plastic cap

That would look very cool but is it worth the money when an OEM one works great.

You could just buy an OEM one and paint it sliver. That billet one is way to rich for me.

I've had that happen to me. I was using the filters that the cap is attached to the filter. I put a new filter and my OEM cap back on and away I went.
