Well, my "new to me" 1999 f250 with 121k on the clock truck I scored has first issue....after getting it home, and driving for about 4 days without one iota of problems, I was peeking around under the hood and pulled my icp plug noticed oil on the connector and inside the sensor. As a precaution I changed the sensor (yes, instead of getting OEM got a BWD sensor ) Ran well 2 days and on way home in 40 degree rain, truck stalled and sputtered and began surging....made it home and pulled the sensor connector and smoothed out.
On researching Icp sensors ( I have a build date of 4/99) noticed my old sensor has a 5/8th adator on bottom of sensor) and one i have does not. Found this thread which is interesting regarding thread pitch on earlier models which I hope is not the case on my truck (seemed to thread in no problems but something to think about) before someone actually boogers their threads up. Say a prayer guys hope its not me!
Will try that. Was posting more for others in case issue comes up with theirs. Will check the wiring connector as well just to nasty outside ATM......already called ford place for a cps for the glove box like I said I drove it to the store and back unplugged and she ran well

A couple years ago there were Fleabay ICPs sold as 7.3 units but were not. They worked, but required an adapter to fit the head. Prolly whatcha got there. An original ICP will have the nut underneath and require a crow's foot wrench to get at easily, the newer design is all nut, so to speak.
thats what it looks like.....as if the plot doesnt thicken...water leak on drivers side floorboard.....noticed when i bought the truck on the door panel a brownish tinge to the door....oh well, its still a steal of a deal, and I am going to sort this thing out....on another post....ordered new icp from Clay, think I'm about to do a LOT of business with him LOL....HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL FTE PEEPS!!!!
Yeah, tell me about it....wondering where to start....truck was "garage kept" and exterior/interior do appear to look that way....wondering where to start....will take a peek under dash when I get home...have about 5 days of dry weather ahead...I am in Mississippi and 40 degrees is COLD down here to me.....will research "where to look" and go from there...
