e3 spark plugs

I recently changed my spark plugs to e3 spark plugs shortly afterwards #3 spark plug and boot shot out and laid on top of my fuel injection. Common problem? Fix?

Hopefully the threads in the head are not damaged. Put it back and make sure you get it properly tight - not 'farmer tight'. It's possible the threads were damaged when you installed it.
Aside from that, I believe I would use the specified plug for the application. I use E3s in lawn mowers etc., but I don't think I'll be putting them in my truck engine.

If the threads are stripped, you might get away with rethreading to the next bigger size, and using an oversize plug,...
