Sounds like a plugged fuel filter is the mist likely option. Fill the new filter with diesel kleen or the additive of your choice, fire it up for 10 seconds, then shut down and let the additive work is magic at fill strength while it sits. Then drive like hell and see how it does.
Also note that a freshly rebuilt pump will often need a few treatments of cleaner like that or it'll die like yours is
