stalling while coasting...
hey all, im posting for my friend...the truck is a 85 F250 4x2 Super Cab with a 6.9 and a 4-speed manual...truck has a newer IP and a new fuel filter...when you push in the clutch to coast to a stop, the truck stalls. it was doing this a while back and the fuel filter fixed it...now its doing it again And this time the fuel filter didn't fix it. truck will always start right up...any ideas?

Change the fuel filter again, but this time fill it right up with Howes Diesel Conditioner or some good conditioner, start it up for 20 seconds, shut off, and let it sit for at least an hour, or do this at night, and let it sit over night. The longer the better.
Next morning, fire 'er up, warm up, and go for a good HARD drive, drive it like you stole it!
This should clean it up and fix your problem.
