I remember reading some where that the trans shift thing would go bad and cause it. I think someone said to ohm the terminals and if one reads high than that could be the problem. Has anyone else have this prob
If you don`t have a COP going bad then more than likely the TCC is slipping. I had a 95 Explorer that did the same thing. a simple trans fluid flush fixed it and it never came back!

Yes there will be 10 COP`s. when they go bad they can cause an intermittent misfire that will feel like a shudder. my Explorer would shudder when the torque converter started to lockup. once it was locked however it would be fine. it can be hard to differentiate between the 2 unless you know exactly what to feel for.

But will u feel it at only 40 mph at low throttle. Any other mph or rpm it's fine just at 40 it does it
I bad boot or wet boot will do that and it feels like a u-joint gone out and only in overdrive. I would change all those if you haven't. Are you sure you don't have water in the plug hole(s) ?

Haven't checked yet. I wanted to make sure what it could be before tare down. Is there a way for a bad coil
Same problem here. V10, shudder at light throttle at 45-70 mph. Intermittent, but more when engine is warm. Replaced COPs but that didn't help. Runs great on acceleration.
