triton5.4

1998 triton 5.4 truck is missing on cylinder3,5,8, .I had plugs and coil packs replaced and it didnt help .Also, had computer replaced and that didnt help .You can drive it ,however when it hits overdrive speeds it runs lousy .Anybody have any ideas?Appreciate it

I just had a mis-fire in #7. I changed the plug and that was it. It also drove lousy at overdrive speeds. When I turned the OD off, the RPM's wenth up and it was OK. Unfortunately, I would have done what you did. I guess after that it's time for the shop to look at it. $$$$$$$

ya, have fuel pressure ck'd going down the road and have a good load on the engine (like pulling a long hill). may have injectors plugged.

the 5.4 fuel injectors are easier to r & r than the spark plugs, take them all out and have them professionally cleaned for less than $100

what about those kits you buy with a can of cleaner, and the hose you hook up directly to the fuel rail? I cant find any here locally, but does anyone else use these kits? I've seen 'em on those tv shows like hot rod tv and such
