Love the DP tuner, excellent customer service. The main problem was that the truck was a federal truck and met federal emissions but not California emissions. All good now
When you rev up a powerstroke your going to get a small amount of smoke, well in California it all depends on the tester. But with no smoke at all that can't bitch
IF you dont have a cat and the sticker to prove it under the hood you don't have to go through the snap test… I literally just smogged my 03 yesterday I was nervous because it has a tune on it, and a k&N intake but I do have the CARB sticker I was sure it was gonna fail but the tech said it doesn't have a cat and all he had to do was visual check and obdII for codes and no snap test go to a place that knows how to test diesels a lot of these places don't know what they are doing.

Yes you do, if you're in California.
If a person is trying to smog a diesel truck in California, then yes, they DO have to do the snap test. Whether or not the tech follows the law, is up to them, but a snap test with three quick snaps is mandated by state law.

If you're in California, then the place you just got your rig smogged at is one of those places you just described, because they don't know what they're doing if the tech told you that garbage about no snap test needed.

I had my truck smogged recently and I don't think that they did a snap test but I can't swear to it. But that being said I was only there for less than 10 minutes and there were three other people in front of me, barely had time to get through the first couple of pages in a magazine.
