I have a 2000 excursion v10 with 270k she is a great truck... but she is not starting I thought it was the starter relay on the passenger fender bc it will start when you junp It with a wrench. I replace the relay and no luck still not starting. When you turn the key I can hear the relays fire that are in the fuse box but the starter will not fire. Any suggestions?
When you turn the key, does the starter motor click? If so, then it's probably the starter motor fried or connection from battery to starter. If not, the starter solenoid may be fried.

By chance when you turn the key to the on position, does the "theft" light flash rapidly, and stay flashing? 2000 model year only has a glitch with the PATS module and the security key/system. Just an idea. Most guys can turn the key to the off position for a few seconds then back to on, and the test function occurs for all the dash lights, and it goes out, then it will start. It's worth a try.
