Excellent point.

Had I bought the Brightsource HID's first I would not have spent a grand on the Rigid lights.

Mind you, having both on when required turns night into day. I still do not have as much in lights on the F350 as the guys that drop $$$$ for a 40" or 50" Rigid LED.

I think the knockoff brands are fine if you want looks, but for all out performance rating it is Brightsource HID followed by Rigid LED followed by the clones and chinese brands trailing behind.

If anyone buys those cheaparse stupid HID retro kits on fleabay please understand they are junk that blinds everyone else.

I have found Baja Designs and VisionX to have excellent LED bars - they are both probably one of the more expensive offerings however.

That said, unless you are getting good 10W LED's in your bar, with a reflector housing designed for LED's, you are much better off getting a couple of these:
Grote 64011 Par 46 Multi-Function Steel Housing Bracket : Amazon.com : Automotive Grote 64011 Par 46 Multi-Function Steel Housing Bracket : Amazon.com : Automotive
and fitting these:
Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply
(cibie H4 high/low beam, convex (domed) lens)

It will throw out so much more light than a crappy LED bar.

I will be revealing that in a soon hopefully once things pan out and everything is set up. I dont have my lights set up yet and until I do, I dont want to be publicizing a brand that I cant even attest to.

For the record, they have a lifetime warranty on their lights. Pretty much no questions asked, although I dont know the actual policy. They stressed customer service being a key factor in their business model.

I would like to see the HIDs. I would imagine they are extremely bright and have a nice tight beam pattern.

It's a nice beam for sure. The KC driving lens hits wide and narrow as it gets out in the distance. I do think the LEDs seem to be more white than the HIDs.

I have them set up to track at the same height as the OEM headlights. I park 3-6' away from my garage door, use one of the panels as my reference line, turn on the OEM heads, turn on HIDs. I will set the HID outer edge to the inner edge of the OEM headlight beam. When driving I do turn them off for on-coming traffic.

Here is a review I did on Baja Designs OnX Pro 22" LED light bar. With pics and a video. I have to say... LEDs are beginning to surpass every other lighting source in every possible way. Prices will continue to come down.
