Badford, theres one that keeps showing up on ebay from a company called dealsofsteel that looks pretty good but the pics don't clearly show how it mounts. They actually call it a Bull Bar. Price ain't too bad either.
I think the website is the above name with a .com on the end if you want to check it out. Maybe some one else can give info on this one as well. Im interested in something like this also.
I have the Bull Bar from Deals of Steel - nice bar but I had trouble with the mounting brackets. They are supposed to mount to the bumper bolts but instead of an oval opening to fit over the tow hooks, the bracket had two circles cut out. I called and they said it was a manufacturing problem and that the tow hooks were different on my 2003 than previous years. They offered a refund or to pay if I modded the brackets. My brother-in-law works at a tool&die co. so he milled out the center of the brackets -worked great and they look great too. A lot cheaper than the Westin's and look the same.
Badford, I'm looking for a nice prerunner for my truck too. I've done some research but have yet to make up my mind. Here's a list of manufactures that I've found, with a quick online search you should be able to find there websites: Reaper Racing, Offroad Technologies, Truckgear, N-Fab, Fabtech, Offroad Unlimited, Offroad Innovations.
hey desertford, i have been looking at the fabtech my only concern is that it sticks out too far like 6-7 inches in front of the front bumper. is yours this much? also how much was it? the best i've seen is $175 shipped.
i only have 4-5 inches in front of my truck when i put it in the garage before i hit the wall!
Anyone have any pics of these mods? I would love to see what the westin looks like on a 250 thats not lifted. Or this other one that you are talking about from deals on steel
maybe i will just make my own! im sure i can make one with less than $20 material . some sch 80 pipe and 4 bends and a little weldind. it would cost more to paint than make!
