Interesting, because O'Rielly's sells the rear cats for it for $133 each, and they say California legal. I am not buying anything from Jaguar. I would go broke in a New York Minute. I did get some bad news though, the mechanic/owner of the shop said he had a Jaguar (2002 I believe) and when he went to sell it, it took him 8 months to get rid of it. I don't know what it is about jaguars, but a lot of people are scared of them. I know they are expensive to repair, but so are BMW's and Mercedes, so I don't get it. Not that I want to sell the XJ-S, but I will be selling the Xj6 once the oil pan is replaced.

At least it is not a MB S600. I hear that one has 8 oxygen sensors, and 6 cats!

I may be remembering wrong, Jim. Lemme see if I can find the thread that caused me to say the cats have to be OEM.

Stewart, I know you cannot buy a used cat, but both O'Rielly's and Autozone sell cats that are California certified. Autozone sells Magnaflow cats, I don't know the brand name of the one at O'Rielly's.

Joe, yeah, yeah, yeah, and you forgot the other one, "Nothing is more expensive than a cheap Jaguar" Of course, I have heard that said about Mercedes too, and this coming from a Mercedes mechanic. LOL

The XJ6 was not originally bought to flip. It was going to be my daily driver, the XJ-S was bought to flip, but I did not do any research on that model until AFTER I bought it. I will be keeping the XJ-S, and selling the XJ6 once it is fixed, and yes, a lot of people are scared of the Jaguar name, so it may take awhile to sell. I have learned my lesson, no more Jaguars (unless for me, like a second XJ-S for parts.), and no more VW's unless it is the old school Beetle. Ford's and Chevies, with maybe a Dodge or two thrown in for good measure. No way in the world would I spend $3k for a 67 Mustang looking like that. And that black one has too many problems, not too mention it would be stolen within the first week here in Fresno.

Hey Jim what about advertising the jag in the club you just went on ? better response than CL , Seems like CL users want a smoking deal and your profit margin will be cut , I have a neibor that collects cars and belongs to several clubs ,I'll stop in with the xj6 info and see what he comes up with

We Grade, form, pour and finish this is the second pour on the property a long Drive way on a hill and the slope goes two ways about 1 ft out of level so I had to split the diff for the swing gate to look right on the bottom, The only prob is the guy next door has goats and I have a feeling our slab is going to look like bass pro floors, the RO says a few mountain lions roam the hills too so come wed morn it should look Interesting

The XJ6 will be listed on Autotrader, and if the Jaguar forums has a buy sell thread like FTE, I'll list it there too. I will probably break even on that one. I can still make a profit on the Jetta, as long as nothing else bad is found during the clutch install. It will be advertized on CL once it is ready. I will stick to American made cars from now on, and buy ones I don't like so there will be no chance of keeping it for myself. LOL

We got rain in the forecast today, but it is not raining right now. Looks like it did rain a bit last night though as the ground is wet, and I can see water spots on the car covers of my two kitties. The crew that is fixing our street are behind schedule. It was supposed to be done by the 25th, yet, they have not even laid the asphalt yet. So it is a muddy mess right now.
