OK, thank you for that information, unfortunately I changed to a 16 x 10 rim and tire on my F250. I still have the 12 x 16.5 rims in the garage at my sons house..
Ok, Your Welcome !! If you ever need them for those other rims at your sons garage and you can't find them, I know for sure they have them because I asked and they showed them to me and if he does not have them in stock he can order them and have them by the next day or so. FYI.... Take care, Talk to you Later & have a good day.....
Hi, my starter on my 58 F250 finally went bad, so I took it off and I'm taking it to be Rebuilt, My Question is when I get it back and go to re install it do I just install it back with the 3 screws and then just try it or do I have to line the teeth up with the Flywheel ??? Reason why I'm asking is because my starter has a set up where it slides back and forth on a drive shaft and it engages and disengages, so I'm not sure how it goes when I put it back on. Any advice, once again will be appreciated.. Thanks....
No need to align the teeth, just put in the three bolts and attach the cable.
Hi, OK Thank you for the info.... I appreciate it, when I took it off I failed to look if it was aligned or not so I did not know. When I get it back it should be an Easy Install then, "GOOD"... Thanks again & Have a Great Day !!!
The starter teeth do not engage the flywheel untill you turn the key to the start posistion and the starter starts spinning.
OK, Thank You for the information, I did not know and I'm Learning everyday something new with these Old Trucks... SOON I will be able to take one apart and put it back together here on FTE LOL.... Thanks again.
