Question
I Purchased this truck Back in March and I have done a Ton Of Work to it and I Love my Truck.
Recently I noticed oil coming out of my oil breather and I've been asking around to see what it is and I'm being told I need to have a PCV VALVE installed.

PCV was introduced in 1961, no vehicle prior came with it.
I looked all around the engine and I don't see a Blow (road draft) tube, appears it has been removed.
1957/59: Located on left (drivers) side of engine block.
My Truck has a DANA 60 differential on it and I just replaced the pinion seal with my mechanic because it was leaking, I drove it the other day for about 50 miles and I parked it at home and when I checked it I saw that it was still leaking.
Most likely, the pinion seal was not installed properly.
Left (upper - pic above): Exploded view of road draft tube and its internal parts. 6A631 is B2TZ-6A631-A .. Crankcase Ventilation Screen. It probably hasn't been changed in years.
When it gets clogged up, pressure builds up inside the engine, oil begins blowing out.
Notice that the pic below the tube is the 1961/63 292 PCV system. 6A666 is the PCV valve.

Right (lower pic): Road draft tube (6758) visible on side of block.
6737 is the canister that the partial flow paper cartridge oil filter fits into. Filter called a 'sock' because it's wrapped in white gauze.
Some trucks came with it, some came with the full flow "Spin-On" oil filter. A kit was available at Ford parts counters to install the Spin-On filter in place of the messy to change sock filter.
Kit was also available from NAPA and it still is today. The current Ford part number for the filter is: Motorcraft FL-1A
Left (lower) pic: Cartridge 'Sock' Filter & Spin-On Oil Filter.
But I got ta say becoming a supporter is the fastest and easiest way to post pics right from
your whatever pad/cell thing or home computer.
Few of us look in the users Gallery or album as you can see by your recent visitors.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.
While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
The best photos and videos | Photobucket
Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).
When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).
Your pic will be placed in the post.
Hope that helps.
Here's a tutorial Bob put together: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/67...-pictures.html Bob's link is not working. Can someone in the know tell me why?
How to upload pictures to the FTE Forums. - YouTube. Thanks Sam Rusty_Old_F250. Best we can find is that this video was done by Gundown64
The 6A666 smog valve threads into 374963-S brass fitting that threads into a hole in the intake manifold in front of the carb. Then there's all the misc tubing between these parts.
Your 1958 292 engine (ditto if 1957 or 1959/60) will not have any of these features because PCV was introduced in 1961.
I have some sets but not sure what some are from.

There is a repair for the yoke called a speedy sleeve or jiffy sleeve. It is a thin band that fits over the seal surface on the yoke and gives a new sealing surface. It is way cheaper than a new yoke and any parts store will have it. A real mechanic should know about this repair.

The thing is, while you and I did, his mechanic...didn't.
