Okay, so I've been thinking about the Ford OEM 140a upper/duel alt setup alternator. This alternator along with the 3g 58mm overdrive pulley should be all I need. With a 10% military discount both can be had for $180 + tax (approx $11 bucks).
Knowing that the 140a is used in the stock configuration for dual alt setups...what difference is there in the OEM wiring? Does Ford use heavier AWG wiring for the dual alt applications? If not, then as long as I upgrade to the above setup, I should be fine without modifying the wiring ...is that correct? If they use heavier AWG wiring, I should be able to purchase that from Ford or International.
Anyone know if there is a difference between the two wiring setups?
