Im just now sort of getting my 87 running and the tach i found out is not connected. Well i dont see anything on either side of the motor that has the socket like the plug on the tach. Where should i be looking for this at?

It's the sensor coming out of the timing gear housing to the right of the oil fill spout.

Take a picture of your engine bay around that area and post it up. It shouldn't be too hard to find. Mine was on a plastic mount designed to hold it right in place just behind the gear cover and in front of the IP. Yours has probably disappeared into the engine bay somewhere.

It should be in same wiring harness that has the injector pump wires and ac wires with it.

I looked in that harness but didnt see anything. I guess i will have to follow it back further to see if the wires got caught somewhere.

Mine is part of the alternator wiring harness, if someone didn't change out that harness, it should be there.

Fleetcharge is precharged, it is a little cheaper to get low silicate coolant and the additive. If what you use is not pre diluted, you should use distilled water. I think some people use the newer stuff, lifetime maybe? I'm sure someone can add more info or link a thread.
