Back up here... tranny fluid check warm, with truck running in park.. ok... Now to my point, broken lockout? What is the issue? Start here. That front shaft should spin freely while in 2 hi. Is this lockout still engaged? Spin the shaft and see if the front axle shafts both spin free.

Yeah, 2 hi, no issues. When i replaced the front bearings and seals, i noticed the front left hub broken. So i can drive fine, but cant use 4wd right now. I wont even try 4x4 til i get the seals and bearings or whatever figured out and replaced on the front end. Theres some poppin and jumpin there too but 1 fire at a time, lol. Steering gears are leakin like hell too. Im trying to just get the mechanical worked out, cosmetics, idc. I did buy a seat though, but other than that, keepin it running so i can go to work

Explain broken. I ask cause you are claiming 5/8s rotation on front shaft, when that should freewheel.

I cant post pics, i have Tmobile basic. Ok, the hub part that you can remove with the 6 allen screws....the "back wall" looks like it was apple cored. Lol, idk how to explain it. Anyway, it looks like a washer with spline teeth, so it wont engage.

Ok. These are one ton, but same principle, see the dark colored gear in the center, remove this from the broken lock out, and check your front shaft

Dammit.....well, man, my phone is getting shut off tonight. I try to keep my business my business but i also gotta be straight😁 i will be back on in a few weeks. I know that i am not in 4x cause i was on the smog dyno and the front didnt spin. Should i remove those til i get something fixed? I really dont need to create another problem😓

Ok, make sure your axle shafts will turn free. The u joints out by the spindles should spin. I've had the left front wheel lock up solid from a bad steer joint. Dana 44 half ton. Remove those dark gears and you have a two wheel drive.
Diagnosis is the key, remove the shaft also if need be... then test drive. You see what im getting at?

Refreshed and read this. Your engine isnt turn ing the front but the front wheels may be turning the front up to but not including the transfer case
