Is the HPOP <!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:OfficeDocumentSettings> <o:AllowPNG/> </o:OfficeDocumentSettings> </xml><![endif]-->Reservoir full or empty?
Dos the oil pressure register on the dash gauge while cranking?
empty as far as i know when i pulled it off before it was 1/4 ful maybe nothing on the dash but the dash never worked
If you have no oil in your HPOP, you can crank all day long and all you'll do is burn up your starter and batteries.
Take the plug out of the driver's side on the top of the HPOP reservoir, and use a small funnel and fill it up to within 1/2" of the top with new oil. Crank the engine a few times. Repeat as necessary. The LPOP will prime once the engine starts. And the engine can't run without LPOP pressure to feed the HPOP, so you won't be doing any damage to it.
And the dash oil pressure "gauge" isn't worth a crap for anything. It's just a switch; it opens up at around 8 psi, and whatever it shows after that is just wherever the gauge decides to sit. It's a glorified idiot light.
