Brought Home Another Highboy

I went to look at a '64 Highboy. He was asking $500 and said he was firm. When I got there, I asked if he would take $350. He didn't even hesitate.

I have a bit of a problem. I collect drive axles. Yes, you read that right. This '64 happened to have a Dana 44 6CF HD, an axle that quite common under '67 - '75 Highboys. They are not so common under Slick Highboys however, and I have been searching for one to replace the perfectly fine '75 HD 44 under my '66.

It has a nice factory stack under the rear.

The body is a little tired.

It has what looks to be dealer installed cab lights.

At one point in time, the valve cover was orange (ish). Does that mean 223? (Yes I know it could have been swapped).

It also has a Ford flatbed.

It has two brackets on the frame that my '66 cab and chassis does not have.

Any idea what they are? Box mount?

Yup, tool box. Our truck had one on the Passenger side, and an aux (Saddle) gas tank on the Drivers side.

Yep, especially if it is wide enough to cover a one ton's duals.
Also, I'm not sure if those are original racks or not but if they are solid I would be careful with them.
The car show guys love that stuff.

Wheels? I have no clue.

Vin? Ya, um, the um, tag is, um, gone.

Title? Non existent. I have a plan though.
