ZF into 79

I am planning on swapping a ZF into my 79 F 350 2wd. It appears to me a ZF has a 1.25" 10 spline input and my old T18 has a 1.0625 10 spline input. The late 80's pu's with a ZF have a 12" clutch and I have a 11" anybody know the correct parts to get the clutch installed???

What motor? If you have a 351m/400, there are some issues with the crank stick out that have to be dealt with.

Generally, you would use the pressure plate that fits on your flywheel, and find a clutch disc that fits on the trans. 11" clutch should be OK.

Sorry forgot to mention that I am running a 460. Generally, I am quite aware that you would use the pressure plate that fits your flywheel and I am quite aware that many parts people don't like anything other than stock which is why people ask for help on a site such as this. If anyone actually knows and has done this I would appreciate any help as to a pressure plate, clutch disk, pilot bearing and throw out bearing combination I would be quite interested in hearing from them. If you are just going to post to supply some generic information to increase the # of times you have posted most people are not interested.

Well, I haven't done it, but Ford did, so you should be able to get OEM parts with a simple search.

Your trans DID come from behind a 460 originally, right? If you don't have the trans yet, you should be able to find everything you need in the donor vehicle.

Good luck with your project.
