I need a source or sources for 63 F-600 brake parts
I lost the brakes in my 63 F-600 today. It's time to go through the entire system. I am looking for wheel cylinders (or rebuild kits), shoes, rubber lines. The master cylinder and hydro vac seem fine.
I searched the forums but the information was at least 3 years old. Anyone have a source for these parts?

Some say NAPA will have those, but you need to know exactly what you have going in. It is possible several brake sizes were used on your truck.
If you post your VIN (just for grins) and the info off the data/warranty plate on the door, you may get a decode for the axle and other info. '63 though should be before the multiple types of brakes like the later Girling systems that you are glad you don't have for example.

Here is a link to a shop in Minneapolis that can help you with just about anything you may need.

Thank you for your help. The vin is f60BK372436. Axle code is f2. Which I think is an eaton 2 speed.
I replaced the faulty wheel cylinder with one from an f-350. It appeared to be exactly the same as the one I removed. The front brake shoes are 14x2.5. I haven't removed the rear drums yet.

Front could be: 14" x 2.50" or 16" x 2.50."
Rear could be: 15" x 4.00" or 15" x 4.50" or 15" x 5.00" or 16.50" x 4.50."
Numbers would be great. I have been working on other projects and haven't done much with my truck. When spring hits I need to be ready to go through the brakes and replace the wheels.
thanks

After some time spent at NAPA looking at wheel cylinders from several models and years, this is what we came up with for mine. These were for a 1960 two speed rear and are a 1 5/8 bore. I am sure that they fit other years as well. Most wheel cylinders are available, you just need to know how to find them. All four rear wheel cylinders are different two each share the same casting number but are drilled out for a different position on the axle. The cylinder on each box may not match the number, they are the old ones and are mixed up, but the four shown make up the group.

My front would not do you any good because they are correct for my '56. I was able to find brand new cylinders for my front as well as a new master cylinder. All new production!
