Been reading y'all's forums for a while and learned a lot new to the channel and could use some help. Looking for replacement brake shoes Hardware kit and wheel cylinders for rear axle on 77 F350 dually. Pulled off Bendix brand brake shoes part number 302817 they measure 12 by 2 and 1/2 can't find any other part numbers on other items and can't cross reference what I have I can post VIN number axle code and all if anyone has any suggestions would be greatly appreciated I believe I measured the bore on my wheel cylinders to be inch and an eighth ID...thanks

 

seems odd I thought they all used 12 X 3 on the F350

F250 used both 12 X 3 and 12 X 2.5"

 

That might be the case I picked this truck up for cheap with leaking wheel seal. pull it apart expecting to replace it all while I was in there and notice I have no e brake cable going to the drums I'm missing a lot of Hardware looking stuff up but brakes did work but would lock up I've gone to Napa and all local auto parts stores and they all say 3 inch
Feeling the groove in the drums I would assume she was all Factory

I can't cross your Bendix number either and I have an old Bendix Brake book (the paper type that most folks don't know about anymore LOL)

you could take your Vin and Axle code to your local Stealership and they might be able to tell you what shoes should be on it..... 77 is a bit old and many of the dealers just don't have that info anymore (I even have trouble getting info on my 93)

you could measure your drums and see if they originally used 3" shoes, problem is that since 2.5" have been used in them you probably can't put 3" back in without turning the drums or replacing them.

Drums run about 50 bux each

EDIT: BTW 357 is the bendix 2.5" and 358 is the Part number for the 3" shoe
