94 F-350-7.3 turbo deisel IDI starting problems

Hello, I'm a new member with a new problem with an older truck. Just bought a 1994 F-350 with a 7.3 IDI turbo- diesel with low miles-125,000 and it runs great. The problem I'm having is it wont start unless I plug it in if it sits for more than a couple hours. I've replaced the glow plug relay, but then discovered there is not any juice going to the glow plugs. The wait to start light only stays on for maybe 2 seconds, and when its warm it don't come on at all. I've been told about maybe a fusable link etc etc. Anyone have a similar problem? Sure would appreciate some ideas. Thanks, John.

welcome to FTE.
plugging it in to start and a 2 second glow plug light tells me you most likely have burned out glow plugs.
get yourself a set of motorcraft ZD-9 glow plugs from rock auto and you should be good to go
