Nice pic bud, that's why I don't hunt coastal , I'm al about fillin the big winter feed box. Mulely or white tail and or Elk, Thanks for the pics.
Ya. I usually put in for mule deer in Nevada, and we hunt whitetail in Idaho every year. That's where I do my horn hunting. The scenery in that picture is where I live though, so you cant just not hunt. It's just too convenient when you can walk out your front door and start hunting .
All good, use to hunt out of my back porch in the white mountains AZ . I miss those times . moved here and all I get is Golfers and ground squirls.. Did'nt get drawn this year for elk . glad the hogs and angus are getting fat
Nothing wrong with single digit mileage if gas was .54 cents a gallon like it was when I first got my license. However, when I am paying for gas, and it is $3.69 a gallon, I would like to go farther than 11 miles before I need another gallon. LOL. Of course, if I ever get those electric window lifts installed, I can roll down the windows and turn off the AC, that would help too.
Jim
its a idi it get like 15 mpg lol
just giving u ideas jim lol
Joe look for Rangers 89-92 with a 2.3 preferably, but will take a V6. (It would still get better mpg than that gas hog in my driveway now) if you want to help. 15 mpg sounds good for a van, but I am not paying 20k for any vehicle anytime soon. I have no credit, and would need to pay cash. I have a better idea, look for a 89-92 Ranger WITH a diesel already in it. Now that would be the ticket!

yea thats a rare beast here in the sates a diesel ranger but i look i have a interview today at 10.30 im so neveriuse and extices at the same time
I know diesel Rangers are rare, and so is a home built diesel Ranger, which is what I would be looking for. I have found a 4x4 Ranger in Norco on Autotrader that I like, but it is more than I need. It is a 4x4 with the 4.0 V6 and auto trans and they are asking $4,495. If I bought that, I would not need the Bronco. Well, except to tow home other vehicles I intend to flip. Besides, with all the issues the Bronco has, I bet it would be very hard to sell. Not too mention all the $$$ I have put into it already. Anyway, unless I see something else I like better, I may just get that Ranger assuming it is still for sale when my check gets here. I found a Explorer in Stockton that is also 4x4 and the same color as the Bronco for $2,750 I might buy. However, that would be one I flip. There is a 94 Explorer Limited down in Newport Beach that I like also, and it is only $2,995. It is 2wd and in good shape. I might get that as the daily driver (and not get the Ranger) even though it has the same 4.0 V6 I would guess it gets better mpg than the Ranger since it is not 4x4 or have an open bed. However, I would prefer to get a ranger, as I miss having a bed I can use to move stuff with. Much easier to put a 6 foot sofa in than an Explorer.

hell jim for thouse prices i could find u a good runing idi 2wd and u could that to tow with and use the bronco for the off road toy a 2wd idi with a over drive tranny can get in the 15 to 20 range and would tow better
No worries Joe, I ran out of minutes on my phone, so it would not have kept going anyway. I'll PM you my home number, and you can call that. Those diesel trucks in the links look to be prime candidates for flipping The crew cab I might even keep myself. However, if I do, I would want to swap front clips because I don't like that style. Also, even if that should get 15 mpg, I am sure I would save money by getting a Ranger that gets 15 mpg due to the higher cost of diesel fuel prices. Of course a Ranger will not tow a car trailer with a car or truck on it either.
Have not heard of any motor mount problems with the Rangers, maybe it is just with the newer ones? In any case, I may be getting a diesel powered truck, will have to see when the check gets here what is still available.
Found a super sweet '95 F350 super cab dually with the 7.3 PSD that is even the same color as the Bronco with the same tan interior, on Autotrader. Unfortunately he wants $6,000 for it. Don't really want to spend that on a daily driver. Most the other F-350's listed were 460 powered, and that would not get better mpg than the Bronco.
Yeah, they are also more expensive to buy. LOL. The one I am looking at is a crew cab, not Super cab like I posted above. Most people on Autotrader call their trucks crew cabs, when in fact they are super cabs. Interesting. In any case, I doubt I will buy a crew cab, looking at my short driveway, it does not look like a crew cab would fit unless I park the Bronco in front of the trailer instead of in the driveway. Besides, that 2 wheel drive Explorer Limited I found in Newport Beach would get better gas mileage. But then there is the issue of towing vehicles to think about. Can't tow a F350 with an Explorer. Maybe I should get two vehicles. The Explorer or a Ranger if I can find one I like for the daily driver, then a F350 dually, either super cab or crew cab for the car flipping business, and keep it at Darrel's mini storage until I need it for towing. If I do that, then I can also look for a car trailer and store it with the dually.
