Good evening, just got back from a nice 4 hour trip to massachusetts and back. Found a guy selling a 05 grille for a good price on a diesel site so i can start my front end conversion parts pile. Dont know if its the weight of the diesel, or the wheelbase or what, but this truck is just so much nicer to drive than my old one. Much better road manners for sure. Truck ran great too, i can tell it runs a little better once i get it out on the highway for a while...only thing was when i got back near home and was hitting red lights, my really choppy idle came back, oh well
Ooh brother! Parking brake...
Mine dings a raquet if I put it in gear with it engaged...
Replaced many bulbs with led yesterday... Last lamps are coming on Monday. 6k front interior lamps are WHITE and BRIGHT!
Having a heck of a time getting the transmission pan on my MIL's Grand Caravan to seal up. I used the gasket that came with the filter the first time, and after pouring in a gallon of fluid noticed a truly epic mess under the car. Tried again with some RTV sealant on top of the gasket and had the same result. Got pissed and went to bed.
This afternoon I tried again with nothing but RTV silicone like I was supposed to from the beginning. Waiting for it to cure before trying it out, wish me luck!
Why is NFL network not showing the 4th quarter of the jets game? ...
Sanchez still blows moose ****, but still... they are kinda winning finally...
WTF?!
I dont care about the Seattle Semen... or Denver. Blech.
I think I succeeded last night. After throwing the gasket in the trash and just using RTV silicone it seems to be sealing up just fine. I was then able to pull the oil return line from the transmission and pump out the rest of the old fluid. Possibly the only advantage to old design transmissions without a thermostat is the ability to flush them out at home!
Next up was the cooling system. It had a leak somewhere that I was having a hard time finding, so I refilled it with straight water and ran the engine up to temperature. The cooling system built up to about 6-7 PSI of pressure before the thermostat opened, and shortly after it lost pressure as water started gushing from the radiator. I was genuinely happy to see that it's not going to be an expensive fix. It's not my car, but my mother-in-law doesn't have a whole lot of cash at the moment.
