Stayed up late working on the bike this evening. I've suspected over the last year that the clutch was slipping a bit so I broke down and installed new clutch springs. The freaking gasket cost more than the springs. The most time consuming task was scraping the 13-year-old gasket off the engine cover. Permatex gasket remover saved the day, I nearly gave up!
My son was out on a research boat out of New London today with the camp he was at dredging for creatures.

Tonight I got the chance to go through the '06 Grand Caravan my mother in-law bought. 204,000 miles and apparently indifferent maintenance at best. Looking at the spark plugs it's a wonder it runs at all.
Well my easy day of pole clipping a Katsura, removing a small cedar, and cleaning up a black Locust turned into removing a giant black locust, pulling english ivy off a big Maple, and more when an 18" lead on the locust started to crack while we were working on it. With our brand new company pickup right under it.
