You can bet that's part does not have a PMA stamp on it.
Come to think of it I also bet that they don't have an STC for it.

Aviation terms STC (Supplemental Type Certificat) PMA (Parts Manufacturing Approval)

Brazil supplies the Non-north american and non european corners of the globe. The brazilian production runs use an entirely different engine line, mostly the Cummins B-Series with varrying hp ratings depending on the year. The 7.3 was also available in most markets until late 2000's.

Things in these markets are much different than we are used to. They have all kinds of 4x4, and transmission differences than the State Side versions.

Sounded like a 4 cylinder Diesel (almost like a 4V Detroit) and not a V8 Powerstroke or even a straight 6.

Yes, most overseas models have not been neutered like they have been here by the EPA and NTSB.

No one can afford what it would cost to make an overseas model street legal here.

The first thing I noticed was the odd sound of that engine. Pretty neat to see that you can start an aircraft engine with a Super Duty.

Reasons...most newer aircraft like this...28 volt eletrical system, 24 volt battery. Battery not easy to get to and the external receptacle requires a special connector.
